The Challenge
As a design exercise and passion project, I decided to create branding for a B2C product or service. I liked the idea of a coffee company brand as it provided the opportunity to develop a full brand family including packaging and web and application designs.
As I began concepting, I wanted this brand to feel friendly, warm, and memorable. As I began ideating I created a backstory for the brand. I landed on a Greek company with an international presence, and landed on the name “Kalamata.”





Strategic Approach
Designing for a coffee company meant creating a look that not only stood out on shelves but also felt fresh, energetic, and aligned with the brand’s identity. I started by researching existing coffee brands to understand the competitive landscape and gathering inspiration. From there, I sketched multiple concepts, refining the strongest ideas into a brand direction that provided consistency across packaging and multiple use cases. I selected an eye-catching color palette to convey identity and energy and grab attention, while the typography prioritized readability for quick shelf scanning. Finally I reviewed details and polished the designs for the final identity.
