The Challenge
As a design exercise and passion project, I decided to create branding for a product. I liked the idea of a granola bar brand as it provided the opportunity to develop a full brand family including individual wrapping designs, box packaging, and multiple iterations of the designs for different flavors.
As I began concepting, I wanted this brand to capture the essence of fueling adventures and the feeling of my northern home state Minnesota. This included a modern, memorable logo, visuals that would stand apart on the store shelf, and a brand story that fit an adventurous, energetic aesthetic.






Strategic Approach
Designing for a granola bar brand meant creating a look that not only stood out on shelves but also felt fresh, energetic, and aligned with the brand’s identity. I started by researching existing granola bar brands to understand the competitive landscape and gathering inspiration. From there, I sketched multiple concepts, refining the strongest ideas into a brand direction that provided consistency across packaging. I selected a high-contrast, eye-catching color palette to convey energy and grab attention, while the typography prioritized readability for quick shelf scanning. Finally I reviewed details and polished the designs for the final identity.
