Zebra Athletics Product Photoshoot
Zebra Athletics is an equipment company that creates a variety of products for the Martial Arts and Mixed Martial Arts Industry, with a focus on floor mats and protective padding.
Overview
In 2025, Zebra Athletics prepared to launch a new website, with a major focus on refreshing and expanding their product imagery. Beyond standard product photography, a critical objective was capturing one of their core best-selling products through a complete set of in-situ, on-set imagery to showcase the product in its intended environment.
My team supported this initiative end-to-end, beginning with an audit of the brand’s imagery needs, sourcing and quoting photographers, and managing the full production process to ensure the final assets aligned with the launch goals.

Behind the Shoot
The Vision
With two distinct objectives for this project, my team began by auditing the client’s existing product photography while simultaneously defining their vision for the on-set imagery. This discovery process allowed us to develop a comprehensive product shot list, and we identified the need for the set photography to align with the new website’s brand direction—specifically favoring a clean, bright, and light visual aesthetic.

Set Intake
Once a photography partner was selected, my team travelled on set for an initial intake of available props and interior styles. Select mat products were incorporated during this phase to evaluate preliminary color palettes, layouts, and styling options in advance of the full shoot.

The Planning & Shoot Day
Throughout production, the team cross-referenced the finalized product list against the items received by the photographers to ensure completeness and accuracy. On set, products were organized into intentional groupings to maintain consistency in styling, angles, and visual treatment across the shoot. Imagery was tracked in real time against the approved shot list, while the team also supported on-set direction, assisting with product placement and guiding models.
Results
As a result, the client received access to a comprehensive image library from my team hosted in Air.inc, featuring fully organized, properly sized, and tagged assets. The library included a complete set of consistent product photography, along with on-set imagery captured for the home shoot, providing a cohesive foundation for the new website.
